Recycling Ambassador Programme

VOICE Recycling Ambassador Programme is an initiative funded by a €300,000+ grant from the Department of Communications, Climate Action and Environment to improve Ireland’s recycling rates and reduce levels of contamination in household recycling bins.

The project officially launched on November 28th 2017 and our team is all set to run recycling workshops all across the country to help people understand what can and cannot be recycled and why. You can download our recycling list at this link.

By having face to face conversations with people we also hope to understand the challenges faced by individuals and households in managing their waste.

By creating more widespread knowledge on recycling we can divert unnecessary waste from landfill and incineration. The materials recycled including plastic, aluminium and paper can be used to produce new products and save our natural resources instead of making new products from raw materials such as wood and oil.

Through delivering a clear unified message of what can and cannot go into the recycling bin we hope to reduce the amount of contamination in waste collection and processing.
