This project has been funded by the Department of Communications, Climate Action and Environment, the Regional Waste Management Offices and REPAK.
From November 2017 to the end of 2018, our team of recycling ambassadors hosted free recycling workshops all across the country to help people understand what can and cannot be recycled and why. By having face to face conversations with people we also hoped to understand the challenges faced by individuals and households in managing their waste.
Over the course of the project we ran nearly 700 workshops and reached 25,000 people across every county. You can read our final project report here:
Through delivering a clear unified message of what can and cannot go into the recycling bin we hope to reduce the amount of contamination in waste collection and processing.
