An exciting opportunity to join the VOICE Ireland team working to grow and develop the Picker Pals programme across Ireland
Picker Pals is a primary school litter-picking programme for junior-level primary school children. We are looking for an energetic, people-focused person to join the team to help grow the reach and popularity of the programme through community outreach, media management, community engagement and engagement tracking.
Responsibilities Include
- Work closely with the Programme Manager and Founder to help tell the story of Picker Pals and increase the profile of the programme
- Ensure the smooth onboarding of schools into the Picker Pals programme and their successful participation throughout the school year
- Interact with teachers and schools to deliver the programme and grow their engagement levels
- Develop digital content and manage social media channels
- Track, analyse and build engagement with all participants in the programme
- Maintain programme database and optimise content sharing among the team
- Streamline and manage the process to identify more efficient ways of recruiting programme participants
- Undertake various miscellaneous research and marketing projects as required
Must Haves
-Excellent written and spoken communication skills
-The ability to produce fun, creative, colourful content to promote Picker Pals
-Digital marketing experience with tools such as Mailchimp, Hootsuite, Canva
-Experience in database management
-Excellent organisational skills
-Basic skills in media management and video editing
-A driven approach to getting the most out of every hour of the day
-Flexibility, understanding and enthusiasm for the Picker Pals programme and its mission
-A passionate desire to make the world a better place by creating young environmentalists
Might Haves
-A background in project management, marketing or customer service
-Experience working in a primary school or another educational context
-Experience working on environmental awareness or attitudinal change campaigns
Terms
Remote, office-based or blended Hours: 25-30/week
1 year contract, salary range €23,400 – 29,640, depending on hours and experience.
