To mark World Oceans Day VOICE has come together with SWAN (Sustainable Water Network) and Coastwatch Ireland to call for alternatives to single use plastics.
We took to Rosie Hacket Bridge on Dublin's River Liffey to demonstrate and show the public examples of single use plastics that are found all along our coasts and waterways in Ireland.
Ireland is Europe’s worst offender when it comes to producing plastic packaging waste, double the EU average. Let's put a stop to plastic waste for our oceans and our future.
Join us in the fight against single use plastics!
The Irish Times joined us to document our action, you can read the full article here.
